Located on the outskirts of Shediac, New Brunswick, the official Lobster Capital of the World, Paturel exports live lobster and processes lobster and snow crab to market worldwide. Paturel's strong relationships with the fishermen, close proximity to the resource and vast holding capabilities enable year round supply of quality product. Paturel's main plant in' Shediac includes a modern processing facility for lobster and snow crab and a large live lobster holding system equipped with advanced water quality and temperature control capabilities. Support facilities include a modern processing plant in Morell, P.E.I. and tidal pounds in Deer Island, New Brunswick.

The quality and safety of Paturel's products, whether live lobsters or processed products, are ensured through the implementation of a facility specific "Quality Management Program" (QMP), which is HACCP based. The QMP adheres to strict standards established under the Canadian Fish Inspection Regulations and is federally mandated by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). Through active memorandums of understanding (MOU's), the Canadian QMP has equivalency with the USA and the European Union food quality and safety programs. Paturel facilities are on both the USA and the European approval lists.
