Hand finished wood waterfowl sculptures from Quebec (Size: 10 x 5.5 x 4")How thrilled we are to offer from the most important wooden ducks manufacturer in Canada this remarkable Collection. It is an achievement accomplished by three generations of artisans. Grandfather Israel Menard, a shipping navigator who during his many boat trips, filled in his time by carving little pieces of wood. In the early 60’s his children Lionel and Henriette formed a company that has grown into a 6000 square foot facility producing wonderfully unique wooden sculptures with the main focus on North American waterfowl. In 1997 Israel’s grandsons took over management of Sculptures Tremblay, and added another 2,800 square feet to the facility. 10 artisans work full time in the creation of each individual wooden item. Each creation is then hand finished in a variety of ways making each sculpture a treasured individual piece of artwork. The manufacturing facility is located in the village of L’Islet-sur-Mers on the shores of the St. Lawrence River in Quebec, Canada. Find out why we love this member... |
