Product DescriptionTim Packer is one of Canada’s leading artists. He has participated in many international competitions across North America and has received many awards and honours. He is an elected member and past president of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour, and a senior signature member of the Canadian Institute of Portrait Artists. His work has represented Canada at the 2000 International Biennial in Mexico and can be found in a number of private and public collections around the world. His bold oils rely on a strong sense of design and the abstract patterns found in the natural world… often combined with a dramatic light condition. Tim participates in the annual autumn undraiser at the McMichael Canadian Collection and was the top selling artist in the 2007 and 2008 shows.I love to create winter scenes that give a feeling of warmth rather than cold and this painting, for me, was all about creating that intense glow of a sunny winter afternoon. It was a challenge to capture the clumpy nature of the snow under this intense light effect but I was very pleased with the results.
