Hi, my name is Francesca and I'm the resident food lover here at Buy Canadian First.

Growing up in a big Canadian-Italian family, I was very likely to have a passion for food and food preparation. It brings people together, calms you when you are upset and highlights so many happy memories. I truly believe that our fresh, local ingredients should be utilized as much as possible. Which is why I'll be concentrating on using Canadian ingredients to create great food, one of life’s simple, yet delicious pleasures.

In the past 4 years, my ideas of cooking have had to evolve. I’ve moved out with my significant other, and have been welcomed into a family with a few vegetarian/ vegan members. I also found out that I am lactose intolerant. With all these challenges, and continuously having to think of new and inventive ways to keep our meals fun, I have developed a love for fresh Canadian produce and I'm so excited to share my recipes with you all!

So let's go, the kitchen's waiting!
